Valid Maine Fishing License (Required for Ages 16+)
Anyone 16 years old or older must have a valid Maine fishing license to participate. Licenses can be purchased online through Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. Please have your license ready before your trip — either printed or saved on your phone.
✅ Clothing & Protection:
- Quick-dry pants (avoid cotton)
- Long-sleeve shirt (moisture-wicking, non-cotton) – sleeves can be rolled up if needed
- Lightweight jacket (for wind and unexpected weather)
- Rain gear (jacket & pants, just in case)
- Old pair of leaky waders (make great boat pants in the rain)
- Knit hat (for chilly mornings)
- Sun hat or cap (for sun protection)
- Buff or neck gaiter (for sun and wind protection)
- Sunglasses (polarized recommended for fishing)
- Non-cotton socks (wool or synthetic for comfort)
- Boat shoes or non-slip sandals (avoid flip-flops)
Tip: We recommend overdressing a bit. You can always shed a layer if you get warm, but it’s difficult to add something you didn’t pack if the temperature drops unexpectedly.
💧 Hydration & Snacks:
- Water bottle (we aim to reduce plastic waste)
- Snacks (granola bars, trail mix, or anything you like)
🩹 Health & Safety:
- Sunscreen (water-resistant, SPF 30+)
- Any personal medications (including motion sickness meds if needed)
- EpiPen or allergy medication (if required)
📸 Extras:
- Camera or phone (for scenic and catch photos)
- Small backpack or dry bag (to keep items organized and dry)
🚤 Boat Space & Safety:
We like to keep the boat as clear as possible to reduce tripping hazards and snags for lures and fly lines. Try to pack only the essentials and fit everything into one small bag to keep the deck clutter-free.
🎣 Fishing Equipment:
We provide all fishing gear, including rods, tackle, and lures. However, if you prefer, feel free to bring your own rods or any personal tackle you’d like to use.
Just show up, dress appropriately, and we’ll take care of the rest!
